We have 12 hens (and yes I named them all: Esmerelda, Opal and Pearl, Pepper, Piper, Little Miss Broody Butt, Charlotte, Mama Hen, Penny, Camilla, Holly and Ivy), and our resident rooster, Jason. His predecessor Lucky was probably the friendliest bird in the flock, and was affectionately referred to as the "derp rooster." Jason has some big shoes to fill. The chickens are a joy to watch, and their multicoloured eggs are second to none!
